Ghent, Belgium - September 11, 2014: The Gravensteen is a medieval castle built in the twelfth century to become the seat of the Counts of Flanders. Over the centuries it housed a courthouse and a prison, then decayed until the 1885, when the city of Ghent bought and renovated it. Now it can be visited, and admire the city from above.

Copenhagen Citadel is one of the best preserved fortresses in northern Europe. It was build as part of Copenhagen ramparts by King Christian IV from 1624. It is shaped like a five pointed star surrounded by a moat. Apart from a host of office and storage buildings it has its own church and even a windmill.
