John Boyd Thacher State Park, Voohreesville, New York is rich in history, fossils, beauty, and recreation. The Indian Ladder Trail is the most famous and well traveled trail in the park. The trail follows along the bottom of a rich section of limestone cliffs. There are caves, waterfalls and fossils to explore along the way. Only 15 miles outside of Albany, it is a gem of a park to explore its history and geology.
