The old Northern State Hospital ruins, now part of the Northern State Recreation Area just north of Seattle. Opened in 1912 the hospital once housed the most mentally ill patients in the state. The grounds also encompassed a 700 acre full function farm, it was officially closed in 1973. In 1991 Skagit County purchased the land and transformed it into a recreation area for the public.

This November 2021 daylight photo shows the Sign of the Bellbird in Ōtautahi Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand. The structure was built as part of a series of rest stops in the Port Hills. While this structure was abandoned, two others remain in operation today serving food and drink to tourists and locals. This area is part of Horomaka Banks Peninsula, an ancient volcanic complex.

Stanley, East Falkland, Falkland Islands: Church House (1917), timber clad house located by the Anglican Cathedral, completed in 1917 it was home to Reverend McDonald-Hobley, the Assistant Colonial Chaplain. It was used by the Royal Navy as a communications center. In the 1960s and 70s it was used as an improvised cinema.
