Hilo, Hawaii - September 8, 2011 - Pacific tsunami museum in Hilo, Hawaii. The museum is dedicated to the history of the April 1, 1946 Pacific Tsunami which devastated much of the Hilo.

Arrowtown, New Zealand, January 18, 1989 - Historic 1989 photo of the Old Post Office and Telegraph of Arrowtown, a former gold mining town in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand.

Arijejen, Denigomodu District, Nauru: Republic of Nauru Hospital (RoN Hospital), created in 1999 by the fusion of the state-run Nauru General Hospital and the private Nauru Phosphate Corporation Hospital. Provides free medical and dental treatment for all citizens. Anyone with serious illnesses and injuries that cannot be treated on the island must be sent by air to Australia.

Established in the 1900's, this little train station in its day, saw numerous movements of people, freight, and military service during its time. Still in use today, as a rail link to the east coast.

Northern State Hospital ruins, now part of the Northern State Recreation Area just north of Seattle. Opened in 1912 the hospital once housed the most mentally ill patients in the state. The grounds also encompassed a 700 acre full function farm, it was officially closed in 1973. In 1991 Skagit County purchased the land and transformed it into a recreation area for the public.

This fortress, now a museum, was the HQ of the imperial German colonial force and was built, after being designed by Captain Curt von Francois, from October 1890. Alterations were made until 1915. After World War I, South African troops assumed control of the fort, and in 1935 it was turned into a hostel for the nearby high school. In 1957, the fort became a national monument and was refurbished in 1963 from which point it became the national museum.
