In the photo, the tense and attentive gaze of a jockey as he waits for the start of the Palio race. An important center since Roman times, Gualdo Tadino rises between Foligno and Gubbio along the ancient Flaminia consular road, traced by the Romans. Its history spans the entire Middle Ages and, despite being partially destroyed and sacked several times and placed under the dominion of Perugia, this ancient Umbrian center still retains its medieval charm. The Umbria region, considered the green lung of Italy for its wooded mountains, is characterized by a perfect integration between nature and the presence of man, in a context of environmental sustainability and healthy life. In addition to its immense artistic and historical heritage, Umbria is famous for its food and wine production and for the high quality of the olive oil produced in these lands.
