The Bighorn Sheep (Ovis canadensis) is a North American sheep named for its large curled horns. An adult ram can weigh up to 300 lb and the horns alone can weigh up to 30 lb.  This young bighorn ram was photographed at the Haystack Saddle on the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA.

Two Big Horn sheep (ram) in grassy field at Garden of the Gods. A herd of Big Horn sheep like to fatten up on the rich grasses in the meadows of this city park. To their right are the giant sandstone formations  from which the Garden of the Gods is famous. Garden of the Gods is in Colorado Springs, Colorado in western USA and is part of the Rocky Mountain range. On the western edge of Garden of the Gods is Pikes Peak (14115 ft).
