A life raft canister is a durable container, typically made of fiberglass or plastic, designed to store and protect a life raft. These canisters are usually mounted on the deck of a boat, making the life raft easily accessible in an emergency.  Canisters are built to withstand harsh marine environments, protecting the life raft from the elements. Mounted on deck, they allow for quick deployment in case of an emergency.
