London, England 1800s: The Charing Cross Hotel, designed by Edward Middleton Barry,] opened 1865 gave the station an ornate frontage in the French Renaissance style and extended along Villiers Street. It quickly became popular.
This is historic Haworth, Yorkshire, England, UK, home of the Bronte sisters.  The village is bedecked in bunting and union flags as it celebrates the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.  This image is of the industrial cooperative society building near the top of the high street.
