Tufa is a variety of limestone formed when carbonate minerals precipitate out of ambient temperature water. Geothermally heated hot springs sometimes produce similar carbonate deposits known as travertine. These are beautiful spires coming out of the water. This image was taken with a Nikon D3s and a Tamron 16 - 300mm lens. This image will delight all that sees it hanging in your home or office.
