Picture of the columns of the Pont de Fragnee bridge in Liege, Belgium. The Pont de Fragnée is an iconic bridge in Liège, known for its aesthetic resemblance to the Pont Alexandre-III in Paris. It was constructed for the 1905 Universal Exhibition and is notable for its gilded figures, known as Renommées or Fame, which are covered in fine gold. These statues are located on either side of the bridge, contributing to its ornate appearance. After sustaining damage during World War II, the bridge was rebuilt according to its original design, with work completed in 1948. The bridge's renovation in the 1990s restored it to its early 20th-century splendor, including its decorative elements. The Pont de Fragnée stands as a remarkable piece of heritage in the Walloon region and is a point of interest for both locals and visitors in Liège
