Old VOC sailing ship Halve Maen replica sailing stern detail on the river IJssel at the city of Kampen during the 2024 Sail Kampen event. The Halve Maen was a trading ship of the Dutch East India Company (Dutch: Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie and sailed up the Hudson into what is now New York Harbor in 1609.

In 1999, it was rebuilt in accordance with its original form.

Old traditional sailing ships during the Hanzedagen festival in the Hanseatic League city of Kampen in The Netherlands. The Hanseatic League was a commercial and defensive confederation of merchant guilds and their market towns during the late Middle Ages until the late 19th century. Each year one of the member cities of the New Hansa hosts the Hanseatic Days.  People are watching the ships.
