The national flagpole on Phu Quy island was built in Trieu Duong village, Tam Thanh commune with a height of 22.6 m, reinforced concrete, facing the sea. The architecture of the building consists of pillars, flagpoles, steps and surrounding grounds. The foundation is buried deep under the rock with the foundation structure technique commonly used for solid lighthouses. The 4 x 6m fabric flag is sewn with sustainable fabric with characteristics of sea breeze. The flagpole on Phu Quy island is like a solid sovereignty stele in the middle of the sea, affirming Vietnam's maritime territory.
