The Changle Temple ruins are located at the foot of Gushan Mountain, overlooking the Beixiangtang Grottoes. The ruins currently cover an area of 11,530 square meters. Changle Temple was built in the Northern Qi Dynasty and was originally named Grotto Temple. During the Tiantong period of the Northern Qi Dynasty (565-569), it was renamed Zhizhi Temple. In the Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Gushan Temple. In the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Changle Temple. It is still in use today.
