Lexington, Massachusetts, USA - February 26, 2024: Buckman Tavern is a historic American Revolutionary War site associated with the revolution's very first battle, the 1775 Battle of Lexington and Concord. It is located on the Battle Green in Lexington. The tavern was built in about 1709-1710 by Benjamin Muzzey, and with license granted in 1693 was the first public house in Lexington. Although best known as the headquarters of the militia, Buckman Tavern is also noteworthy as perhaps the busiest of Lexington's 18th-century taverns. It housed the first village store in Lexington, and later, in 1813, the first town post office.

Views of Bournes Farm bird sanctuary located in West Falmouth, MA on Cape Cod.  the farm is located on 49 acres of fields, trails and woodlands that overlook Crocker Pond in West Falmouth.  The original farm was founded in 1775 and its farmhouse was one of the first seven houses in West Falmouth, Cape Cod.
The Wabash and Erie Canal was a shipping canal that linked the Great Lakes to the Ohio River via an artificial waterway. The canal provided traders with access from the Great Lakes all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Over 460 miles long, it was the longest canal ever built in North America.  The canal park hosts historical events such a pioneer village, water tours and has an interactive museum to learn about Indiana's canal history.
