Mt.Azumakofuji is an active stratovolcano in the Bandai Azuma region of Fukushima prefecture. Volcanic eruptions in past has resulted in its conical shaped crater. The last known eruption  was as recent as in 1977. Its near perfect resemblance to Mt Fuji earned it the name Azuma Ko-Fuji. The fumarolic area at the base on slopes of the neighbouring Mt Issaikyo gives the entire area a sulphuric odour.

January 21, 2020 is a cold winter day. We toured the city of Fuji under Mt. Fuji, encountered good weather, and took this photo of Mt. Fuji with the pagoda, which can see the whole city under Mt. Fuji.
Ashinoko Lake is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. It is a crater lake that lies along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano. The lake is known for its views of Mt. Fuji and its numerous hot springs. A number of pleasure boats and ferries traverse the lake, providing scenic views for tourists and passengers. Several of the boats are inspired by the design of sailing warships.Beautiful Mt. Fuji in Japan was officially registered as a UNESCO world heritage site on June 26, 2013.

Gobustan, Azerbaijan: mud spewing out from the earth due to compactional stress, Azerbaijan has the most mud volcanoes in the world, with around 300 of them, around a third of all mud volcanoes in the world, some thought to have medicinal qualities. Their occurrence in the area around Qobustan is closely linked to the oil and gas deposits there.
