The aurora of 11/12 May 2024 was one of the most spectacular ever seen. Here it is captured in the Mackenzie district on the South Island of New Zealand, looking straight up to what appeared to be a crown directly overhead. In the moment of this photo, the beams of light form into a phoenix like shape in the sky. The milky way can be seen next to it, although it is largely hidden by the brightness of the aurora. This image forms part of a timelapse sequence. Please also see the timelapse itself and another still image selected from the timelapse as the aurora changes color and shape.

The Solar System[c] is the gravitationally bound system of the Sun and the objects that orbit it. It formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud. The vast majority 99.86% of the system`s mass is in the Sun, with most of the remaining mass contained in the planet Jupiter. The four inner system planets ”Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars”are terrestrial planets, being composed primarily of rock and metal.

Big Data Light Stream Orbiting the Earth. \nNon of the image is derived from a map or any other image. It has been made up completely. Drawn and painted in Photoshop with no reference. The coast line does not exist at all in reality. A closer inspection of the image may reassure you of this. Many Thanks Alex.
