Banksia is a genus of around 170 species in the plant family Proteaceae. These Australian wildflowers and garden plants are easily recognised by their characteristic flower spikes and fruiting cones and heads.
Protea Flowers
Banksia menziesii is a species of flowering plant in the genus Banksia. It is a gnarled tree up to 10 m tall, or a lower spreading 1–3 m shrub in the more northern parts of its range. The serrated leaves are dull green with new growth a paler grey green. The prominent autumn and winter inflorescences are often two-coloured red or pink and yellow.

Leucospermum cordifolium
Banksia ashbyi, commonly known as Ashby's banksia, is a species of shrub or small tree that is endemic to Western Australia. It has smooth, grey bark, deeply serrated, hairy leaves and spikes of bright orange flowers.

The Scarlet banksia occurs close to the south coast of Western Australia in a small region. The flower spikes are usually in bloom from July to October.

Banksia ashbyi is a shrub or small tree that typically grows to a height of 8 m (26 ft). It has smooth, grey bark, deeply serrated, hairy leaves and spikes of bright orange flowers. Ashby's banksia grows in heath and spinifex country along the coast of Western Australia between Geraldton and Exmouth.
