Shenzhen Xinqiao Civic Square is situated at No. 29, Centre Road, Xinqiao Subdistrict, Bao'an District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 139,226.16 square metres. Construction commenced in 2000, with a renovation and enhancement project undertaken in 2017. Following its reopening in 2019, it became the city's largest street-level leisure and cultural square. The overall layout adopts an oyster-shaped design concept, forming a functional zoning of ‘one axis, two belts, and three zones’ (Entrance Plaza Zone, Central Plaza Zone, and Eastern Cultural Sports Park).The main structure retains Western Roman architectural style, featuring an artistic colonnade of 228 Roman columns (topped with zodiac mural carvings), a four-faced Roman numeral clock tower modelled after Italy's St Mark's Campanile (chimes hourly), and a collection of ancient Greek statues. Supporting facilities include a leisure garden, sports park running track, children's play equipment, 482 parking spaces, and three five-star public toilets. A European-style footbridge connects the south entrance to the commercial district. The plaza has hosted diverse events including counter-terrorism drills, ecological carnivals, and concerts. Direct access is available via Exit C of Shajing Station on Metro Line 11.
