Trees, forest and snow in Quebec, Canada

The famous black poplar tree in Kotor Old Town, Montenegro, is estimated to be over 350 years old and stands in the Piazza of the Cinema. Planted after the 1667 earthquake, it was cared for by Franciscan monks from the nearby Monastery of Our Lady of the Angels. The tree reaches approximately 56 meters in height with a trunk girth of around 17 meters. It is considered one of the oldest black poplars in the world and is protected by a fence, with a small entrance fee contributing to its preservation.
