Often voted one of the best beaches on the Mediterranean Island of Corsica, the crescent shaped Saleccia Beach with it's turquoise, shallow and crystal clear waters, despite it being difficult to access, is a popular tourist beach.Located in the almost inaccessible maquis and rack strewn Desert Des Agriates region of Haute-Corse, it can only realistically be reached by ferry from the port of Saint-Florent - or by quad bike on dirt tracks through the maquis- it is that remote.To visit Saleccia Beach there is a shuttle ferry service in the summer months across the Gulf of Saint-Florent between the tourist resort of Saint Florent and the beach. Here the ferry can be seen at the far end of the bay.
