The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, Mezquita. It was built by the Visigoths in 711 and it was converted to a Roman Catholic church, in the 16th century. It is one of the oldest structures still standing from the time Muslims in the late 8th century. Its a World Heritage Site since 1984.

The Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba is the city's cathedral, but, due to its status as a former mosque, constructed in 785, also known as the Great Mosque of Córdoba. The bell tower encases the remains of the mosque's former minaret. It is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The small chapel next to St. Nicholas Church in Kotor Old Town, located in the same square, is St. Luke’s Church (Crkva Svetog Luke). It’s a compact and historically rich Romanesque-Byzantine structure built in 1195, making it one of the oldest churches in Kotor. Originally Catholic, it was handed over to the Orthodox community in the 17th century and features both Catholic and Orthodox altars—a rare and symbolic feature of religious coexistence. Despite its modest size, it's deeply significant in Kotor’s spiritual and architectural heritage.
