At 1414.2 m, the Belchen is the fourth highest elevation in the Black Forest after Feldberg, Seebuck and the Herzogenhorn. The wide panorama from the summit includes large parts of the Black Forest to the Hornisgrinde, the Vosges, the Jura and, weather permitting, the Alps from the Zugspitze to Mont Blanc.
