Gutian Bridge (formerly known as Jianghan Sixth Bridge) is a cross-river passage connecting Hanyang District and Qiaokou District in Wuhan City, and is part of the city's western main arterial road network. Construction of the bridge began in 2012, and it was officially opened to traffic in 2015. The bridge's design blends Chinese and Western architectural styles, featuring a light Prussian blue triumphal arch-style structure. The bridge deck is designed with two grand arches, with the central top of each arch adorned with a latticework decoration shaped like the plum blossom, the city flower of Wuhan.Architectural FeaturesThe Gutian Bridge adopts the design philosophy of “adapting the past for the present,” combining traditional elements with modern structural design.
