Lemaneagh Castle aka Leamaneh Castle, former home of Maire Rua MacMahon (Red Mary) of Ireland. There were many stories about Maire Rua (Red Mary) of Ireland. Legend has it that she hung her disobedient men servants by the necks and her maids by the hair from Leamaneh Castle's corbels (stone brackets). She was also known to go with her husband on raids. The castle, an O'Brien stronghold, was granted to Donough O'Brien in 1550. Donough was hanged in 1552. Conor O'Brien inherited the property in the 1630s. Maire Rua MacMahon married Conor after her first husband died. They had eight children before he was killed by Cromwellian forces in 1651.

Image of abandoned ruined medieval fortification (Dothia) on the Greek Island of Chios in the Aegean Sea in summer (late May) on a sunny day. The image was captured on old-fashioned 35mm black and white grainy ISO 400 film by an analogue (or analog) 35 mm film camera and a wide-angle prime lens. The granularity in the image is real film grain (due to the presence of small particles of a metallic silver on the negative). Minimal post processing has been done (only adjustment of histogram). Details of the ghost town (or rather ghost village) Anavatos in the mountains of the Greek Island of Chios in the Aegean Sea in winterr (late December) in black and white. Anavatos (Greek: Ανάβατος) is a medieval, now abandoned, village located 16 km north-west of Chios Town. The village was established in the Byzantine era, probably by workers of the nearby Monastery of Nea Moni. Above the village stands a medieval fortress. The village was abandoned after the Turkish massacre in 1822 and the devastating earth quake in 1881.The image was captured on old-fashioned black and white grainy ISO 400 film by an analogue 35 mm film camera. The granularity is real film grain (due to the presence of small particles of a metallic silver on the negative). Minimal post processing has been done (only adjustment of histogram). The image is part of a series of abandoned and partly ruined houses (ghost towns) in Greece.
