Bogotá, Colombia - October 08, 2021: A roadside monument dedicated to Amerigo Vespucci beside the southbound Carrera Séptima. Hardly anyone pays any attention to the monument. People just drive past. It is interesting to note the metal spikes introduced into the monument to prevent vandalism. Due to the amount of rainfall the city receives throughout the year, there are healthy trees everywhere.
