The photo was taken in Oct 2024, at the Baisha Lake Scenic Area in Xinjiang. Baisha Lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with Baisha Mountain to the southwest of Kongur Mountain as its back. It is the source of the Gaizi River, which is mainly formed by melting ice and snow. The water is as clear as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds and snow-capped mountains in the distance. It is beautiful. Although the weather was not particularly sunny that day, the contrast between the snow-capped mountains and the lake still tells of this masterpiece of nature

Lake Puma Yumco is a lake located in 5030 meters height on the southern Tibetan Plateau (28°34′N 90°25′E). It is 32 km (20 miles) long, and is 13 km (8 miles) wide. Streams of water from the snow-capped surrounding mountains feed the lake, but the lake has no outlet. Some sediment can be seen entering the lake at its western end. Puma Yumco litterally means The Blue Jewel which is floating in the sky. The lake freezes in winter and is crossed by shepherds with their sheep.
