$Helvella crispa Fr. White Saddle, Common White Helvella, Helvelle crépue, Oreille de chat, Herbst-Lorchel, Fodros papsapkagomba, Spugnola d'autumno crespa, Witte kluifzwam. Habitat parasitic on deciduous trees, especially elm, beech and sycamore, causing intensive white rot. Season spring to summer, annual. Common. Edible when still young and soft.
