Dragonflies and damselflies are not just mesmerizing aerial acrobats; they play a crucial role in maintaining ecological sustainability. As natural predators, they help control mosquito and pest populations, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. Their presence also indicates clean water and healthy ecosystems, making them vital indicators of environmental health. Protecting their habitats supports biodiversity and promotes sustainable ecosystems.\nLocation: Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (India)

The most thermophilus Leucorrhinia, with a relative southern range.\nHabitat:\nGenerally inhabits less acidic and nutrient poor places than L. dubia and L. rubicunda, preferring marshy borders to bogs, forest lakes, fenlands, marshy ditches.\nVegetation is typically lush and varied, with both emergent and submerged species. The water is frequently mesotrophic and often colored brown due to peat.\nFlight Season:\nFrom early May to early August, with most records in late May and June.\n\nThis Picture is made in the Wieden (Overijssel, the Netherlands) in mid June of 2023.

Spiders, dragonflies, and other small wildlife are the unsung heroes of our ecosystems, working tirelessly to maintain balance and sustainability. Spiders act as natural pest controllers, reducing harmful insect populations, while dragonflies regulate mosquitoes and other flying pests. These creatures, though small in size, play a significant role in pollination, nutrient cycling, and supporting food webs. Protecting their habitats ensures biodiversity thrives, demonstrating that even the tiniest lives have an immense impact on the health and sustainability of our planet.\nLocation: Mangar, Haryana (India)
