Sites are often eutrophic and permanent, but also breeds in seasonally wet swamps.\nFlight Season:\nSeen as early as April and may in Turkey and northern Africa, but in northern Europe from early June; most abundant in August, although some may persist well into November.\n\nThis is the most common Darter in the Netherlands.$
