Annona is a genus of tropical and subtropical fruit trees belonging to the custard apple family, Annonaceae. The genus includes several species that produce edible fruits, with some of the most well-known being the cherimoya (Annona cherimola), soursop (Annona muricata), and sugar apple (Annona squamosa). These fruits are characterized by their typically large size, green or brown exterior, and creamy white flesh filled with black seeds.
