Part of the 14th-century Franciscan Monastery, the tower features a distinctive ribbed dome with a cross on top. Heavily damaged in the 1667 earthquake, it was later rebuilt, maintaining its medieval character. Unlike the Dubrovnik Bell Tower at the eastern end, it has no clock or striking figures. The monastery, home to one of Europe's oldest pharmacies (since 1317), remains a key historical and architectural landmark.

The ancient walls of the Croatian city of Dubrovnik with the island of Lokrum on the right. Dubrovnik is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Situated in an exclave, it is connected to the rest of the country by the Pelješac Bridge. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in recognition of its outstanding medieval architecture and fortified old town.
