During a walk along a riverbank, a family of ducks swam past me. Quickly I took out my camera and took some pictures. The little ducklings swam so close past me, as if it had not afraid of me. It seemed like it was posing for my picture.

This busy little new-life epitomises the joy of exploration. Most mallard ducklings have prominent brown striping, but the odd one in this population comes out pure yellow - maybe because one of the local duck population is pure white.
