Cotopaxi is an active stratovolcano in the Andes Mountains, located in the Latacunga canton of Cotopaxi Province, about 50 km south of Quito, and 33 km northeast of the city of Latacunga, Ecuador, in South America. It is the second highest summit in Ecuador, reaching a height of 5,897 m.

The Cotopaxi is the third highest active volcano in the world. It raises 19388 feet (5911 m) above the sea level and is located in Ecuador near Quito. Its peak is a popular destination for climbers. The yellow base station for climbers can be seen in the bottom centre of the image.

The Tungurahua is an active stratovolcano located in the Andean zone of Ecuador. The volcano rises in the Eastern Cordillera of Ecuador, the boundary of the Chimborazo and Tungurahua provinces, and gives its name to the latter.
