Flowering pitanga or Suriname cherry
The flower of the pitanga plant (Eugenia uniflora) is delicate and small, with white or slightly yellowish petals forming a symmetrical structure. Each flower consists of multiple long, thin stamens, giving it an elegant and ethereal appearance. Typically, pitanga flowers appear in small clusters, adorning the plant and enhancing its beauty. In addition to being visually appealing, the flowers emit a light sweet fragrance, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Blooming primarily in spring, these flowers herald the arrival of the tasty and colorful fruits that follow.
