Michel's Ghost Goby Pleurosicya micheli occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from the Seychelles to Hawaii in a depth range from 10-50m, usually on hard corals to 30m depth, max. length 2.5cm. Diploastrea heliopora occurs in the tropical Indo-West Pacific Ocean in a depth range from 3-15m from the Red Sea and East Africa to Western Australia, to the Ryukyu Islands and Fiji. The species forms dome-shaped colonies up to 2m high and 5m diameter. The surface is even, the corallites form low cones with small openings and very thick walls. The diameter of a single corallite is 8-10 millimetres. The foto was taken in the early afternoon, the tentacles are extended only at night. Palau, Micronesia, 7°5'49.729\

A Silverspot Shrimpgoby (Ctenogobiops crocineus) rests on the sandy bottom of a coral reef, blending in with its surroundings thanks to its mottled brown and white pattern. This small fish is often found in symbiotic relationships with pistol shrimp, sharing a burrow for mutual benefit. As it swims, its long dorsal fin and tail streamers trail behind it, creating a graceful silhouette. The Silverspot Shrimpgoby is a popular subject for underwater photographers and marine life enthusiasts.
