There is a dark blotch behind the eye and small dark spots and streaks on the head. The Pale Shrimp-goby is a shy fish and is not often seen. It is typically found in pairs and lives in burrows that have been abandoned by alpheid shrimp. The Pale Shrimp-goby feeds on small benthic invertebrates, such as worms, crustaceans, and insects.
