Boston, Massachusetts, USA - November 19, 2025: The gravestone of Samuel Adams in Boston's Ganary Burying Ground. Samuel Adams (1722 - 1803) was an American Patriot who helped organize the American Revolution, signed the Declaration of Independence, and became Governor of Massachusetts. The Granary Burying Ground in Massachusetts is Boston's third-oldest cemetery, founded in 1660 and located on Tremont Street. It is the burial location of Revolutionary War-era patriots, including Paul Revere, the five victims of the Boston Massacre, and three signers of the Declaration of Independence: Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Robert Treat Paine. The cemetery has 2,345 grave-markers, but historians estimate that as many as 5,000 people are buried in it. It is a site on Boston's Freedom Trail.

The site of Plymouth Rock

Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA - September 13, 2016: Looking down at the view of Plymouth harbor and the Plymouth Rock Monument Canopy. William Bradford and others from the Mayflower supposedly set foot on in 1620. The rock is not mention in any written history, including Mr. Bradfordâs journals, until 1715 when it is described as âa great rockâ in reference to the townâs boundaries. In 1741, when plans of building a wharf at the site of the landing, is the first written reference to Pilgrims landing on a rock. This rock has numerous stories attached to it in reference to its significance or lack of, to our history. It has been split in two, the top half moved to the towns meeting house. In 1867 at the completion of the canopy covering the lower half of the rock, designed by Hammett Billings, the top portion of the rock was reunited with the lower and the date â1620â was carved into it.
