The building is now a museum of the poet's personal belongings. The area is expanded with several buildings that make up the museum with a huge collection of books with copies of all translations into numerous languages and editions of the poet's works. In 2014 Odense starts a huge change in the center to integrate the old and the modern city center. There will also be a new exhibition building with visual interpretations of the poet's fairy tales
