![Green stink bug adults measure around 15 millimeters in length and display a color that can alternate between light and dark green. The ventral surface of this species is light green and reddish antennae emerge from it.[3]They are often known as stink bugs due to the unpleasant odor they give off.[6] This stench, reminiscent of aldehydes, is the result of a glandular secretion secreted by the pores on the thorax of this species, when it feels threatened.[6]The longevity of adult specimens depends largely on climatic conditions, such as temperature and humidity, but also on the levels of stress to which the specimen is subjected.
