The Grand Tetons in Autumn in northern western Wyoming

Jenny Lake, formed about 12,000 years ago by glaciers, was named for a Shoshone Indian woman who was the wife of an Englishman named Richard 'Beaver Dick' Leigh. Sadly Jenny and her six children were, in 1876, victims of smallpox.
