Aegean Sea and the Turkish coast viewed from the Greek Island of Chios on an early morning in spring just before sunrise with the sky colored in shades of blue and red. A fisherman is heading out of the harbour in his small fishing boat to collect his nets and tonight’s catch. This part of the Turkish coast (in the background) is where most of the refugees start the boat trip to Chios, Greece landing on the beaches during the night trying to avoid the Turkish Coastguard and patrolling NATO vessels.
