$Goiânia, Goias, Brazil – July 11, 2021: Detail of the Latif Sebba Viaduct in the city of Goiânia. Located where the Praça Latif Sebba was popularly known as Praça do Ratinho, at the intersection of Avenidas 85, D and Rua 87 between the Marista, West and South sectors.\nThe project was born by the Goiás architect Marco Antonio Amaral and consists of a monument and a level crossing with two lanes and a height of 4.6 meters from the slab to the ground, for a possible improvement in traffic in the region, popularly known as Viaduto do Ratinho, its construction began in August 2007 and was completed at the end of the same year. It was built in about 120 days by the company Planex Engenharia Ltda, and the engineer Raul Sbroia Filho was responsible for the work. The monument is a reference to the beginnings of urbanization in Goiânia and its three points are directed to the areas that the city grew the most and is in continuous growth, which are the East, West and South regions.$

Hargeisa, Somaliland, Somalia: the MiG-17 monument at Freedom Square in Hargeisa, Somaliland, a landmark commemorating the resilience of the city and its people. The aircraft, a Soviet-designed fighter jet, symbolizes the aerial bombings Hargeisa endured during the Somali Civil War in the late 1980s, particularly under president Siad Barre. Positioned prominently in the square, the MiG-17 serves as a reminder of the struggles for independence and self-determination faced by the region. Lisbon, Portugal: retired Fiat G.91 R/3 jet fighter aircraft - without unit or serial markings on public display on a plinth in front of the Military College building - The aircraft was developed by Fiat Aviazione in Italy and was intended to replace the F-86 Sabre within NATO. The “G” stands for Fiat Avio chief designer, Giuseppe Gabrielli. After Fiat Aviazione merged with other Italian aircraft manufacturers to form Aeritalia SpA, the designation changed to Aeritalia G.91 - The aircraft was widely used by the Portuguese Air Force in Africa (Mozambique, Angola and Guinea-Bissau provinces) in a ground attack role. It fought against African terrorist organizations, some financed and supported by the USSR or PR of China (Frelimo, MPLA, UNITA, PAIGC), but also against the FNLA, sponsored by a fellow NATO member, the US under JFK. Some aircraft were lost after the USSR supplied 9K32 Strela-2 light-weight, shoulder-fired, surface-to-air missile (MANPADS) to the terrorists. Ironically the Soviet Air Force would later face similar problems in Afghanistan with the introduction of the FIM-92 Stinger missile in Taliban service.
