At the acme of this Peruvian mountain the journey had only just begun. After hours of hiking, the sky suddenly opened up to reveal the limitless expanse that lay ahead. There was no mark of earlier passage and the rolling bumps and rocks lay undistributed. The vegetation swayed in the wind but which direction I could not say for the swell of my expedition continued into the abyss. Complete and utter tranquility washed over me as I reached for the camera to capture the serenity of the unwritten path.
