Rain is falling on orange mushrooms, Marasmius siccus or umbrella mushroom
The mushrooms form the third great kingdom of eukaryotic creatures besides the animals and the plants.
Flammulina velutipes (Curt. ex Fr.) Karst. syn. Collybia velutipes (Curt. ex Fr.) Kummer Samtfussrubling, Collybie a pied veloute, Velvet Shank, Enoki, Enokitake. Cap 2-10cm across, convex at first then flattened, tan-yellow darkening towards the centre, smooth and slimy. Stem 30-10 x 4-8mm, tough and cartilaginous, yellowish at apex, dark brown and densely velvety below. Flesh thin, concolorous. Taste and smell pleasant. Gills pale yellow. Spore print white.\n Habitat in clusters on decaying deciduous trees, especially elm. Season late autumn to spring; can survive being frozen solid and on thawing produces more spores. Common. Edible and good. (Never eat any mushroom until you are certain it is edible as many are poisonous and some are deadly poisonous.) \nDistribution, America and Europe (source R. Phillips).\n\nThis is a quite common Species in the Netherlands.

Oudemansiella mucida (Schrad. ex Fr.) Kühn. syn. Armillaria mucida (Schrad. ex Fr.) Kummer Buchen-Schleimrühling, Collybie mucide Porcelain fungus. Cap 2–8cm across, convex then flattening, pale greyish when young becoming more white often with an ochraceous flush at the centre, semi-translucent, slimy. Stem 30–100×3–10mm, white striate above the membranous ring, slightly scaly below. Flesh thin, white. \nHabitat on the trunks of beech, often high up and in large clusters. Season late summer to late autumn. Common. Edible after washing to remove gluten. Found In Europe (source R. Phillips).\n\nThis nice Species is quite common on Branches (till high on the Tree) and Trunks of Beech (Fagus sylvatica) in the Netherlands.

Wild mushrooms growing on grass full of raindrops on a sunny day
The Common Rustgill was described in 1815 by the great Swedish mycologist Elias Magnus Fries, who called it Agaricus penetrans. In 1912 American mycologist William Alphonso Murrill (1869 - 1957) transferred this species to the genus Gymnopilus, thereby establishing its currently-accepted scientific name Gymnopilus penetrans.\nSynonyms of Gymnopilus penetrans include Flammula hybrida,Gymnopilus hybridus, Agaricus penetrans Fr., Flammula penetrans (Fr.) Quél., and Dryophila penetrans (Fr.) Quél.\nToxicity:\nThe Common Rustgill is inedible and may be poisonous. Certainly several species in the genus Gymnopilus are known to be seriously poisonous, and there is evidence that rustgills from certain parts of the world contain hallucinogenic substances such as psilocybin. We therefore recommend that all fungi in the genus Gymnopilus should be treated as toxic toadstools. \nHabitat:\nThe Common Rustgill appears in tufts on stumps and logs in coniferous woodland and very occasionally also on hardwoods. This species is becoming increasingly common because it grows on woodchip mulch that is now so popular with gardeners as a means of controlling weeds in shrubberies.\nOccurrence: June to November\nDistribution:\nFairly common and widespread in Britain and Ireland, Gymnopilus penetrans is found in many other parts of the world including most of mainland Europe (from Scandinavia down to the Mediterranean region), North Africa, and many parts of North America.\n\nThis is a common Species in the Netherlands (especially in the Pleistocene and Coastal Regions).
