This is a photograph of a tree growing in the stone landscape at Twyfelfontein a Unesco World Heritage Site in the Damaraland region of Namibia, Africa.

Dunes and their surroundings offer a variety of photo opportunities.Here the dried trees in combination with the dry pan and dune creates an image of silence, loneliness and constant struggle for for survival due to lack of water.
