Rome, Italy -- A view of the Roman Pantheon and a portion of the fountain in Piazza della Rotonda. One of the best preserved Roman structures in the Eternal City, the Pantheon was built in 27 BC by Marco Vispanio Agrippa, son-in-law of the emperor Augustus, and dedicated to all Roman gods. The fountain was built by the sculptor Leonardo Sormani in 1575 based on a design by the architect Giacomo della Porta.
