Uros Islands, Lake Titicaca, Peru: The floating islands of Uros are located in Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake, close to Puno at 3.812 metres above sea level. These floating islands are made out of reed which is an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of the Lake Titicaca.
