NEMO is the largest science center in the Netherlands. Everything in NEMO is related to science and technology. aEThe Amsterdamaa was a 18th century cargo ship of the Dutch East India Company and was wrecked only 18 days after its first voyage. The replica was built between 1985 and 1990 by 400 volunteers with tools of the time. Usually the ship is moored next to the Netherlands Maritime Museum, but while that museum is undergoing renovations, it is moored next to NEMO. The ship can be visited.
