Estimated to be from the 1830’s this percussion cap pistol is of French manufacture, with ornate engravings. 0.55 calibre, this pistol uses black powder and bears the proof marks of Deboubert a Paris. Deliberately low-key lighting draws attention to its fine details.

Normandy, France, September 02, 2019: Looking directly into a 150mm canon of the Longues-sur-Mer artillery battery wich was constructed during the World War II by germans army near the french village of Longues-sur-Mer. The battery was sited on a 60 m (200 ft) cliff overlooking the north sea and formed a part of Germany's Atlantic Wall coastal fortifications. But it couldn´t prevent the Allied landing beaches of Gold and Omaha and shelled both beaches on D-Day (6 June 1944).
