Rocky coastline in a fjord in Western Norway at Golten (or Golta) in Sund municipality (near the city of Bergen) in Vestland (previously Hordaland county) on a sunny day in summer (late July). The ground consists of foliated rock of gneiss (a coarse-grained metamorphic rock that forms under intense heat and pressure) and granite (coarse-grained (phaneritic) intrusive igneous rock) formation with cracks, slits, crevices and clefts. The image was captures with a full frame DSLR camera and a sharp 35mm f/2.0 prime wide angle lens at low ISO resulting in large clean image files. Shallow depth of field. Ample copy space. The image is part of a series of photographs of rocky coastlines in Norwegian fjords.
