Blacktip Reef Shark Carcharhinus melanopterus occurs in the tropical and subtropical Indo-Pacific from the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and East Africa to the Hawaiian Islands and the Tuamoto Archipelago, north to Japan and south to Australia and through the Suez Canal in the eastern Mediterranean, in a depth range from 0-75m, max. length 200cm. Rainbow Runners Elagatis bipinnulata inbetween the sharks. The species occurs circumtropical and subtropical in a depth range from 0-150m, usually 2-10m, max. length 180cm, usually 90cm. Palau announced 2009 world's first shark sanctuary, banned all commercial shark fishing within its exclusive economic zone. 600000 sq km (230,000 sq mi) of ocean are protected now. As a result, divers see more sharks here than anywhere else! Palau, near German Channel, 7°7'13.279 N 134°16'23.389 E at 1m depth. This is a composite photo.

Three little baby sharks are swimming in the shallow of ocean. They are grey with black mark on it's back. Water is crystal clear so we can see this tiny sharks very good. Sharks are dangerous animals but baby animals are usual safe.

Whitetip Reef Shark Triaenodon obesus occurs troughout tropical and subtropical Indo-Pacific Ocean in a depth range of 1 to 330m, usually 8 to 40m, common length 160cm, max. 213cm. The species feeds at night on octopus, reef fishes and crustaceans, being very adept at entering crevices and holes in reefs in quest of prey. The species is often seen at rest beneath ledges or in caves by day. This close-up reveals the structure of shark skin and the Ampullae of Lorenzini, electroreceptors, who let sharks (and rays) detect tiny electrical fields from prey's muscle and nerve activity and also help with navigation using Earth's magnetic field.
